Can fans send their tickets to someone else, and can I turn that off?
Yes. Transfers are on by default. A fan can send a ticket to a friend by email, for free, and you can turn transfers off for any event.
Turn transfers on or off
- Open your event and tap Edit event.
- In the Transfers section, switch Let attendees transfer tickets on or off. It applies right away, so there is nothing to save.
Only the owner and admins can change this. Turning transfers off also stops any transfer that is still waiting to be accepted.
What happens when a fan transfers
- The friend accepts and gets a new QR code. The old QR code stops working. At the door it shows as transferred.
- On the order, each ticket shows who holds it now and who it was transferred from.
- Orders, then Transfers, lists every transfer for the event: from, to, ticket, status and date.
- Transfers close 1 hour before the event starts.
- A ticket that has been scanned can't be transferred.
- A ticket can be transferred up to 3 times.
Refunds on transferred tickets
You can't refund a ticket that was transferred. A refund always goes to the card that paid, so it would pay the original buyer and cancel the new holder's ticket. To refund everyone, cancel the event. Cancelling refunds every ticket, transferred or not, to the card that paid.
If the person who paid disputes the charge with their bank, the ticket can be cancelled even after it was transferred.
